Mr. Hibbs apprenticed in Brighton, England as a French polisher and restored antiques for 16 years.

He has been refinishing entrance doors and decks (preferably hardwoods) for 20 years in the northern Virginia/D.C. Metro area, with occasional projects around the U.S.

He has had the advantage of actually working with the Sikkens technical department on a few projects in Michigan. Mr. Hibbs is a proud member of the International Wood Collectors Society.
Mr. Hibbs visits the sikkens technical department occasionally to interact and exchange information, particularly in regards to exotic hardwoods.
