AKZO NOBEL'S SIKKENS BRAND UNVEILS RUBBOL SIDING FINISH AS PART OF ITS NEXT WAVE TECHNOLOGY

Troy, Mich., July 19, 2004 - Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings North America (DCNA), with headquarters in Troy, Mich., announced today the launch of its newest product, Rubbol Siding Finish, a solid stain representing the company's Sikkens brand and its Next Wave of technology. Gerald Koutavas, Sikkens Profit Center Manager made the announcement.

Designed for exterior wood surfaces, Rubbol Siding Finish utilizes Akzo Nobel's innovative hybrid alkyd/acrylic formulation specifically engineered to give the advantages of both an alkyd and an acrylic.
